About The Role We are seeking an experienced QuickBooks Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. This position is vital to maintaining the financial health of the organization by accurately managing and recording financial transactions. The ideal candidate will possess substantial expertise in QuickBooks Online (QBO), demonstrating a thorough understanding of bookkeeping principles, account reconciliation, and financial reporting. The role offers flexibility with the possibility of full-time or part-time engagement, depending on the candidate’s availability and preference. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Bookkeeper will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of our financial records, supporting tax preparation, internal audits, and other accounting functions. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to supporting team objectives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent; Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
• 3-5 years of proven experience in bookkeeping and accounting, specifically with QuickBooks Online (QBO)
• Certification in QuickBooks is a plus
• Strong accounting skills, including transaction recording, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation
• Experience in data entry and maintaining accurate financial records
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and proactively

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable (A/P) and vendor payments using QuickBooks Online
• Manage accounts receivable (A/R), billing, and client revenue collections via QBO
• Handle bi-monthly payroll processing utilizing the Paychex payroll system
• Prepare and review financial reports, including Balance Sheets, Income Statements, A/P & A/R Aging Reports, and Cash Flow Statements
• Reconcile cash accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy
• Reconcile A/P and A/R balances monthly, verifying all transactions are properly recorded
• Review financial statements and records to identify and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain up-to-date accounting records and documentation
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing procedures
• Support the CFO with additional accounting tasks and special projects as required
