Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications (for instructor of record):

  • Master's degree required (official transcripts will be needed if hired).
  • Instructors must have a minimum of advanced proficiency per the ACTFL proficiency scale (or equivalent) in the language they will be teaching.
  • Instructors must also be able to communicate well in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior teaching experience preferred.
  • Superior or Distinguished proficiency is preferred (per the ACTFL proficiency scale or equivalent).

  • Salary – Compensation typically ranges from $997 to $5,530 per course, depending on academic qualifications, course credit load, and enrollment. Courses with low enrollment may be subject to reduced compensation in accordance with the College's adjunct compensation guidelines.

The final salary will be determined based on factors such as education, experience, skills, certifications, and alignment with the position's requirements. Other considerations may include internal equity and market conditions.
