careerzynith is a global leader in the production, distribution, and innovative application of building materials. With a legacy spanning more than a century, careerzynith operates a vast network of over 450 locations across North America, employing roughly 9,000 dedicated professionals. Our mission is to empower construction projects of all sizes with reliable, sustainable, and high‑quality materials while delivering exceptional service to every customer.

As the digital marketplace continues to reshape how customers purchase building supplies, careerzynith has expanded its e‑commerce footprint through the careerzynith Store, a fast‑growing online platform that offers a seamless shopping experience for contractors, architects, and DIY enthusiasts alike. To support this rapid growth, we are seeking a proactive, detail‑oriented Customer Service Dispatcher who will serve as the critical link between our customers, drivers, and plant personnel, ensuring that every concrete delivery is executed on time, safely, and with the highest level of service.

Why This Role Matters

In the fast‑paced world of construction logistics, the ability to coordinate deliveries efficiently can make the difference between a project staying on schedule or facing costly delays. As a Customer Service Dispatcher at careerzynith, you will be the heartbeat of our delivery operations, using cutting‑edge dispatch software and real‑time communication tools to keep our fleet moving, our customers satisfied, and our safety standards uncompromised.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivery Coordination: Plan, schedule, and dispatch concrete deliveries to meet customer specifications, optimizing routes to reduce travel time and fuel consumption.
  • Primary Point of Contact: Serve as the central hub for communication among customers, drivers, plant staff, and internal teams, ensuring that all parties have the information they need for successful delivery execution.
  • Real‑Time Monitoring: Track delivery progress using careerzynith’s dispatch platform, proactively adjusting schedules in response to traffic, weather, or unforeseen obstacles.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve delivery challenges—such as equipment breakdowns, site access restrictions, or customer changes—quickly and professionally.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Accurately record delivery details, customer interactions, and any service incidents, maintaining a clear audit trail for compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Safety Advocacy: Promote and enforce safety protocols throughout the dispatch process, ensuring that all drivers adhere to careerzynith’s safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the logistics, sales, and plant operations teams to align delivery schedules with production capacity and inventory availability.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute ideas for process enhancements, technology upgrades, and training initiatives that increase efficiency and elevate the customer experience.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a customer service, dispatch, or logistics coordination role, preferably within the construction or materials industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and courteously with a diverse range of stakeholders, including customers, drivers, and plant personnel.
  • Proficiency with dispatching software, GPS tracking tools, and standard office applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong multitasking skills with a proven track record of managing competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities, with a focus on proactive issue identification and resolution.
  • Commitment to safety, with an understanding of basic occupational health and safety principles related to concrete delivery.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in logistics, supply chain management, or related fields are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Experience using advanced dispatch platforms (e.g., SAP Transportation Management, Oracle Logistics, or custom careerzynith dispatch solutions).
  • Familiarity with the construction supply chain, including knowledge of concrete mix specifications, delivery windows, and site preparation requirements.
  • Ability to interpret and act on real‑time data dashboards, traffic reports, and weather alerts.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the capacity to generate performance reports and identify trends.
  • Customer‑service orientation with a track record of exceeding service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends during peak delivery periods.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Communication: Clear, concise, and empathetic communication across phone, radio, and written channels.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to maintain detailed schedules, prioritize tasks, and keep accurate records.
  • Technology Savvy: Comfort with digital tools, mobile devices, and emerging logistics technologies.
  • Teamwork: Collaborative mindset that values input from drivers, plant staff, and management.
  • Adaptability: Quick to adjust plans in response to changing conditions while maintaining composure.
  • Safety Focus: Vigilant about safety protocols and proactive in preventing incidents.
