Role Overview – What You’ll Be Doing

As a Customer Service Representative at careerzynith, you will be the front‑line ambassador for our DMV services. Whether you are at Level I, II, or III, your responsibilities will evolve with experience, allowing you to take on greater challenges and leadership opportunities. Your day‑to‑day duties will include:

Core Responsibilities

  • Deliver quick, accurate, and courteous DMV services to walk‑in customers, ensuring each transaction is completed within the target five‑minute window.
  • Update and maintain computer databases with precision, issuing licenses, registrations, and other credentials while adhering to state regulations.
  • Process monetary transactions, including cash, checks, and electronic payments, with strict attention to accuracy and security.
  • Identify opportunities to cross‑sell additional services (e.g., vehicle tags, title transfers) and generate commissions that reward proactive customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with a team of agents and managers to troubleshoot complex cases, share best practices, and uphold the highest service standards.
  • Assist in training new hires, providing mentorship, and contributing to continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Day‑to‑Day Variety

Minimum Qualifications & Physical Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Valid Alaska driver’s license or state‑issued ID.
  • Ability to type 40 words per minute and proficiently use a 10‑key numeric keypad for data entry.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 lb on a regular basis.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education is a plus.

Preferred Experience & Skills

  • Prior experience in DMV processing, bank teller operations, loan origination, or automotive dealership administration.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle cash and electronic transactions with zero errors.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record of delivering empathetic, solution‑focused customer service.
  • Comfort with fast‑paced environments and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks without compromising quality.
  • Basic knowledge of Alaska state motor vehicle regulations and documentation requirements.

Work Schedule & Environment

  • Office hours: Monday‑Saturday, 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM.
  • Shift length: 8 hours plus a lunch break.
  • On‑site location with a modern, well‑equipped service desk.
  • Weekend availability may be required to accommodate high‑traffic days.
