As a Customer Service Representative – Operations Payments within careerzynith’s Shared Service Operations, you will be at the front line of delivering exceptional service experiences. You will mentor newer team members, champion process improvements, and help resolve the most complex payment inquiries. Your expertise will directly influence customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and the overall risk‑aware culture that defines careerzynith.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day guidance and coaching to less‑experienced Customer Service Representatives, ensuring they meet productivity and quality standards.
- Lead the execution of new or enhanced payment services, translating procedural changes into actionable steps for the team.
- Perform complex, high‑impact customer support tasks, including escalated inquiries, complaints, and payment disputes.
- Serve as a subject‑matter expert, interpreting policies and procedures to help teammates navigate challenging scenarios.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional partners—such as Risk, Compliance, and Technology—to surface opportunities for process automation and tool enhancements.
- Conduct thorough research to resolve intricate customer problems, documenting findings and recommending systemic improvements.
- Identify trends in customer feedback and operational data, presenting actionable insights to leadership for continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate records in careerzynith’s CRM and payment platforms, ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in shift handovers, sharing critical information that impacts service delivery and risk management.
- Support the hybrid work model by being present in the Minneapolis office three days per week, fostering team cohesion and knowledge sharing.
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum four (4) years of experience in customer service, financial services, or a contact‑center environment. Equivalent experience gained through training, military service, or education will also be considered.
- Demonstrated ability to handle high‑volume, high‑complexity inquiries while maintaining composure and professionalism.
- Proven track record of mentoring or coaching junior staff members to achieve performance goals.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to research, interpret data, and recommend viable solutions.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with a focus on active listening.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to quickly learn new software platforms.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous call‑center experience within the financial services industry, especially in payments or transaction processing.
