Work from home Full-time role Hiring

Our client is seeking an experienced, innovative, and highly strategic Director, Global Events to join their Marketing organization for a 12 month maternity leave coverage with 3 days onsite in NYC. This planner will oversee the development, planning, and flawless execution of high-impact global meetings and events that reinforce their culture, elevate the brand, and drive measurable business outcomes. *Director, Global Events Responsibilities:* * Lead the tactical and logistical planning of assigned meetings and events, including regional meetings, symposiums, product launch events, and senior level engagements.

  • Oversee all event related deliverables: agendas, run of show documents, creative assets, invitations, communications, gifting, and lead generation materials.
  • Manage registration platforms, monitor attendee data, analyze performance metrics, and provide comprehensive reporting and insights.
  • Manage relationships with external partners including creative agencies, tradeshow organizers, booth vendors, hospitality providers, and onsite production teams.
  • Collaborate closely with Corporate Communications/PR, Sales, Marketing, Corporate Travel, and internal SMEs to ensure alignment of messaging, brand standards, and event objectives.
  • Negotiate booth locations, sponsorship packages, and marketing opportunities, ensuring optimal visibility and ROI.
  • Lead pre and postevent briefings, documenting learnings and establishing best practices for future enhancements.
  • Strategize with Global Events Management leadership to innovate and continually elevate the impact of global events.

*Director, Global Events Qualifications:* * 7-10 years of experience in event strategy, planning, and execution (financial services industry preferred).

  • Strong negotiation skills and experience working with external trade and marketing vendors.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with an executive ready presence.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across complex organizations and deliver strategic initiatives on time and within budget.
  • Strong project management rigor with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Data driven mindset with experience defining success metrics and enhancing customer experience strategy.
  • Ability to motivate, influence, and align diverse stakeholders toward common outcomes.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to anticipate needs and think proactively.
