Director of Virtual Programs, gt.school (Remote)

Many virtual schools prioritize access over achievement. They provide online coursework. They do not consistently deliver results. GT School operates on a different foundation. We support Gifted & Talented students in grades K–8 using AI-enhanced instruction and rigorous mentorship standards. We are now expanding our virtual offering to enable families to access GT-caliber acceleration regardless of location. This position is responsible for creating a virtual school model that is demanding, credible, and demonstrably superior. You will control the complete operational framework of the virtual program. This encompasses the design of student experiences, management of advisor performance, cohort-level interventions, and cultivation of parent confidence. No established blueprint exists. You will conduct diagnostics, execute rapid iterations, engage directly in live sessions when required, and establish the infrastructure that makes 3× learning gains sustainable and replicable. This is a foundational role for someone who values measurable impact. Your scorecard includes retention rates, academic acceleration, parent trust levels, and observable student achievements. • Designing and iterating the complete virtual student journey to foster acceleration, healthy competition, and community connection
• Analyzing student outcomes, advisor effectiveness, and parent feedback on a weekly basis to surface issues and execute rapid corrections
• Maintaining ownership of the 3× learning model's performance management, detecting XP shortfalls and creating systems to sustain student momentum
• Collaborating with advisors to deliver targeted cohort interventions and preemptive parent outreach before concerns intensify
• Developing advisor onboarding, alignment, and development frameworks using recorded sessions, data dashboards, and key performance indicators

• Managing a fixed program with unchanging processes and prolonged decision timelines
• Relying on passive supervision while waiting for others to flag performance problems
• Prioritizing attendance metrics over tangible academic progress
• Generating reports that fail to result in concrete improvements to student outcomes or advisor practices

Director Of Virtual Programs Key Responsibilities Establish and manage a scalable virtual school program that reliably produces 3× learning outcomes, builds parent confidence, and sustains family enrollment through transparent, recognized student advancement. Basic Requirements

• Demonstrated experience with full operational ownership of a virtual school or online education program
• Teaching or instructional expertise with firsthand involvement in learning delivery (in-person, online, or hybrid formats)
• Robust analytical capability using dashboards, recorded sessions, and feedback mechanisms to diagnose underlying issues and implement solutions
• Track record of managing remote teams with well-defined expectations, accountability structures, and consistent execution
• Effective parent communication experience with evidence of proactive, relationship-building outreach

Nice-to-have Requirements

• Experience creating engagement mechanisms like competitions, leaderboards, or structured community rituals that promote consistent student motivation
• Familiarity with innovative or AI-integrated learning frameworks
• Experience developing and implementing measurable team enablement initiatives including onboarding and calibration protocols
