At careerzynith, creativity meets data‑driven insight, and every employee plays a part in shaping the stories that inspire millions.

Why This Role Matters

As the entertainment landscape evolves, the ability to turn raw data into actionable insight is a competitive advantage. The Data Analyst – Entry Level role sits at the heart of careerzynith’s product and consumer experience teams, supporting the careerzynith+ streaming service, content curation, and in‑home entertainment initiatives. You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and senior analysts to ensure that data informs every strategic decision, from content recommendations to user‑experience enhancements.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Senior Manager of the Studio Research & Insights team, you will work closely with cross‑functional groups to collect, clean, integrate, and analyze data from multiple sources. Your analyses will feed directly into product roadmaps, marketing strategies, and executive‑level presentations. This is a hybrid position—three days on‑site (Monday‑Thursday) and one remote day (Friday)—designed to foster collaboration while offering flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with a variety of qualitative and quantitative research projects, including data collection, cleaning, and transformation.
  • Merge multiple data sets using SQL to support daily operations of the careerzynith+ product and consumer experience initiatives.
  • Partner with product, engineering, and marketing teams to translate business requirements into robust data pipelines and analytical deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal research partners across different divisions and with external vendors.
  • Design, build, and update dashboards, tables, and report sections that visualize key metrics for product, marketing, and strategy meetings.
  • Own assigned projects, conduct quality‑assurance checks, and provide status updates to ensure timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure findings are clear, actionable, and aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Work alongside data‑science teams in Snowflake and Databricks environments to enrich data models and support advanced analytics.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of data sources, definitions, and business logic to enable reproducibility.
  • Respond to ad‑hoc data requests from internal stakeholders, delivering concise insights on short notice.
  • Stay current on SVOD (Subscription Video on Demand) and in‑home entertainment trends, bringing fresh perspectives to the team.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, or a Master’s degree with at least 1 year of professional experience.
  • Proficiency in SQL with a demonstrated ability to join and aggregate disparate data sources.
  • Strong quantitative reasoning and analytical skills, with a track record of turning raw data into business‑ready insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex findings in a clear, concise manner.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills, with a proactive attitude toward problem‑solving.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience with statistical analysis tools such as SPSS, SAS, R, Python, or Stata.
  • Familiarity with survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey) and data‑visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Hands‑on experience with cloud‑based data warehouses like Snowflake or Databricks.
  • Knowledge of data‑science programming languages (Python, R) for exploratory analysis.
  • Graduate coursework or certification in statistical research, econometrics, or advanced analytics.
  • Background in consumer insights, market research, or product analytics—either on the provider side or client side.
  • Experience analyzing large‑scale datasets to uncover actionable trends and patterns.
  • Understanding of subscription‑based business models and content‑driven revenue strategies.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Data Integration: Ability to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from varied sources into a unified analytical framework.
  • Critical Thinking: Evaluate data quality, identify gaps, and propose methodological improvements.
