Responsibilities

As an Airport Customer Service Agent, you'll be responsible for:

  • Assisting passengers with baggage pick-up and ensuring accurate tracking of luggage using computer systems
  • Resolving passenger issues related to delayed, lost, or damaged items with professionalism and empathy
  • Handling customer interactions with efficiency, effectiveness, and a positive attitude
  • Performing other related duties as assigned, within the scope of your skills and experience
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move items weighing up to 70 pounds regularly
  • Ability to lift weights of 40-50 pounds on raised surfaces
  • Must be able to navigate jetway stairs safely and remain alert to moving vehicles and aircraft
  • Proficiency in using radio equipment for communication

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need to meet the following qualifications:

  • Must be a local (in-state) resident
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Valid In-State Driver's License required
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and a 10-year background check
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States
  • Completion of ramp and SIDA training is required for airport authority identification and security

  • Ability to navigate jetway stairs safely and remain alert to moving vehicles and aircraft

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Previous experience in customer service or a related field
  • Knowledge of airport operations and procedures
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
  • Experience with computer systems and software
