Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Customer Care Professional to join our remote team. As a key member of our Insurance Services team, you'll be responsible for providing top-notch customer service to internal and external clients, resolving complex issues, and identifying opportunities for improvement. Responsibilities

As a Customer Care Professional in our Insurance Services team, you'll be responsible for:

  • Responding to telephone and electronic inquiries regarding Long Term Care benefit administration, policy owner eligibility, and claims processing in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Documenting all calls and related correspondence using our proprietary tools and office processes, including follow-up calls, voicemails, and pending service requests.
  • Providing prompt, courteous, and excellent service to internal and external customers at all times, while actively cooperating and interacting with other departments to advance the overall interest of the company.
  • Identifying service opportunities and suggesting innovative ideas for improvement.
  • Handling multiple products and services intermittently while meeting established service requirements and standards.
  • Acting with a sense of urgency and taking ownership regarding aspects of call management and escalation of issues.
  • Ensuring issues are referred to appropriate areas, leveraging internal relationships to ensure efficient issue resolution, and involving leadership when necessary.
  • Performing other duties and projects as assigned, including assisting with the production of Policy Owner Services duties as required, such as updating databases and recording information in the proper location.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with familiarity with business and phone protocols.
  • Excellent organization and detail orientation skills, with the ability to meet established deadlines.
  • Proficiency with MS Windows environment, including MS Word.
  • Reliability, trustworthiness, and the ability to maintain appropriate organizational confidentiality.
  • A minimum of one year customer service experience working in a fast-paced, ever-changing call center environment.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, we prefer candidates with:

  • An Associate degree in Business Administration or BA/BS.
  • Previous experience working in an insurance or financial services environment.
