Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Data Entry Clerk to join our team. As a Data Entry Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently entering customer and account information into our databases. You will work closely with employees and customers to collect information, identify errors, and resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.

Responsibilities

* Maintain database accuracy by entering new and updated customer and account information in a timely and efficient manner

• Prepare source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information
• Establish entry priorities to ensure efficient data entry processes
• Process customer and account source documents by reviewing data for deficiencies and resolving issues using standard procedures
• Enter customer and account data by inputting alphabetic and numeric information on keyboard or optical scanner according to screen format
• Maintain data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures
• Verify entered customer and account data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data
• Combine data from both systems when account information is incomplete
• Purge files to eliminate duplication of data
• Test customer and account system changes and upgrades by inputting new data
• Secure information by completing database backups

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent

• Data entry experience or related office experience
• Basic computer courses may be preferred by some employers
