Job Overview

As a Microsoft Excel Data Specialist, you'll be responsible for meticulously reviewing, verifying, and auditing data stored in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. Your role will involve identifying discrepancies, errors, and compliance issues and working collaboratively with teams to rectify them. You'll be the guardian of our data, ensuring that it's accurate, reliable, and compliant with industry standards, legal requirements, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

* Data Review: Carefully review and audit data within Microsoft Excel spreadsheets to ensure accuracy and consistency.

  • Data Validation: Verify data entries, formulas, and calculations for correctness and compliance with established standards.
  • Error Identification: Identify and report discrepancies, errors, or inconsistencies in data sets, formulas, or spreadsheet structures.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure data stored in Excel complies with industry standards, legal requirements, and company policies.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of audit findings, corrections, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Communication: Collaborate with team members, data owners, and stakeholders to address data issues and ensure accurate and reliable data.

Essential Qualifications

* 4 years of experience in data collection, data entry, auditing, or a related field

  • Proven expertise in Microsoft Excel, including data management, analysis, and visualization
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors or discrepancies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with data validation, data cleansing, and data quality assurance

  • Knowledge of industry standards, legal requirements, and company policies related to data management
  • Certification in Microsoft Excel or a related field
  • Experience with data visualization tools and techniques
