Job Summary

We're looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Remote Data Entry Operator to join our team. As a key member of our data management team, you'll be responsible for entering data into our database from paper documents, creating spreadsheets, and verifying data for accuracy. You'll work closely with our data manager and senior team members to ensure that our data is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible through our digital database.

Responsibilities

As a Remote Data Entry Operator, your key responsibilities will include:

• Transferring data from paper formats to computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners
• Entering data provided directly by customers
• Creating spreadsheets with a large number of figures without errors
• Verifying data by comparing it with source documents
• Updating existing data
• Retrieving data from the database or electronic files as requested
• Performing regular backups to ensure data preservation
• Sorting and organizing documentation after data entry to ensure data is not lost

Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience as a data entry clerk
• Fast typing ability; knowledge of touch typing system preferred
• Excellent knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet tools (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.)
• Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
• Basic knowledge of databases
• Good command of English, both oral and written, and good customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail
• High school diploma or equivalent
