Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Remote Healthcare Data Entry Specialist to join our team on a 4-6 month contract to potential hire basis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for processing various medical documents, extracting data, and entering it into our electronic database using Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Word. You will work independently and in partnership with other team members to ensure that questions are addressed, documented, and cases are returned in a timely fashion.

A Day in the Role

As a Remote Healthcare Data Entry Specialist, your typical day will involve:

  • Processing various medical documents, including Independent Medical Reviews
  • Extracting data from documents and entering it into our electronic database using Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Word
  • Working independently and in partnership with other team members to ensure that questions are addressed, documented, and cases are returned in a timely fashion
  • Using critical thinking steps to determine next steps and reaching out to clients via phone to obtain missing information, etc.
  • Being comfortable and proficient using computers, spreadsheets, and having reliable internet
  • Working in a metrics/quota driven environment and being comfortable with customer service and client coordination over the phone
  • Utilizing your experience in healthcare, insurance, or claims to provide expert-level support to our clients

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Reliable high-speed internet
  • Your own computer or laptop for use in this role (no Chromebooks)
  • At least 1 year of remote work experience
  • High School Diploma
  • Previous experience working in a metrics-based environment
  • Experience in healthcare, insurance, or claims is preferred

Schedule

As a Remote Healthcare Data Entry Specialist, you will work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM EST.
