Insurance Translator/Interpreter(Remote)

We currently cater to the insurance needs of more than 4,000 individuals, families, and over 400 businesses in Moore County and the surrounding areas. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Insurance Translator/Interpreter to join our team. In this vital role, you will facilitate clear and accurate communication between insurance professionals and clients by providing expert translation and interpretation services. Your multilingual skills will help bridge language gaps, ensuring that all parties understand complex insurance policies, claims processes, and legal documentation. • Provide accurate translation of insurance documents, policies, claims forms, and legal materials from one language to another, ensuring clarity and precision.
• Offer real-time interpretation during client meetings, phone calls, and virtual consultations to support seamless communication between bilingual or multilingual clients and insurance representatives.
• Assist clients with limited English proficiency by explaining policy details, coverage options, and claims procedures in their preferred language.
• Collaborate with insurance agents, claims adjusters, legal teams, and other stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging across all communications.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while managing translation projects efficiently and accurately.
• Stay updated on industry terminology related to insurance, law, and linguistics to ensure high-quality interpretation standards.
• Support the development of multilingual resources and training materials for staff as needed.

Experience

• Proven experience in translation and interpretation within the insurance or legal sector is highly preferred.
• Multilingual proficiency in English plus at least one additional language; fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) is a strong advantage.
• Strong understanding of insurance terminology, policies, legal frameworks, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and empathetically.
• Background in linguistics or related fields demonstrating a deep understanding of language structures and cultural nuances.
• Ability to work independently with attention to detail while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
