Mental Health Therapist – Telehealth (Maryland & DC Licensure)
About RenewIn-Minds Counseling and Coaching: RenewIn-Minds Counseling and Coaching is expanding into a group practice and seeking compassionate, dedicated 1099 Mental Health Therapists to join our values-driven team. Our therapists provide high-quality private practice to a diverse caseload via telehealth, in a collaborative, wellness-centered environment where your expertise and growth are genuinely valued. Duties:
- Provide individual therapy using evidence-based modalities aligned with your licensure and clinical background.
- Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized treatment plans supporting client goals.
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in a HIPAA-compliant EHR system.
- Collaborate with the practice owner on case consultation as needed.
- Participate in referral processes as your caseload grows.
- Provide crisis support and safety planning within your scope and comfort level.
- Optional: Lead or co-lead groups, workshops, or specialized clinical programs.
- Communicate professionally and maintain ethical standards consistent with state regulations and best practices.
- Manage a self-determined caseload and schedule while upholding reliable client care.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
- Active clinical license (LCSW-C or LCPC/LPC) in Maryland/DC, in good standing.
- Experience working with individuals with mental health disorders and/or developmental disabilities.
- Proficiency in assessments, treatment planning, and therapeutic techniques such as CBT, TF-CBT, art therapy, or other modalities.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ICD-10 codes for diagnosis and billing.
- Utilize EMR systems for accurate documentation of medical records, progress notes, and treatment plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with diverse clients.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain professional liability insurance and required CEUs (practice may pay for some at discretion).
