We invite applications for a qualified and experienced instructor to teach Perspectives on Indigenous Health and Culture in Canada within our Regional Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing (RDPN) program. The successful candidate will demonstrate academic expertise, cultural humility, and a strong commitment to inclusive, respectful, and engaging post-secondary education. About the Program: For the past 19 years, Stenberg College has been an industry leader in providing psychiatric nursing education in British Columbia. Our RDPN program is the only psychiatric nursing program in B.C. that is offered province-wide to 7 regions through a hybrid, blended delivery, 8-semester, 147-credit program. Students engage in synchronous and asynchronous learning through online theory courses, complete in-person lab simulation at one of our five regional lab spaces, and in-person clinical practice experiences that expose students to a variety of health status, across the life span, and with varying complexity. Position Type: Part-time / Contract Mode of Delivery: Online Instruction via Moodle LMS Schedule: Orientation Start Date: October 2026 Course Dates: November 30, 2026 – February 21, 2027 (12 weeks of instruction plus one week of course wrap-up) Compensation: Starts at $6568.00, with an instruction rate starting at $48/hour Who You Are: The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes: Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience within a post-secondary institution Master’s degree required; PhD or doctoral-level education preferred Demonstrated expertise related to Indigenous health, culture, history, and/or Indigenous studies Experience teaching in an online learning environment and working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Moodle is considered an asset Strong communication, facilitation, organizational, and scholarly skills Commitment to culturally safe, inclusive, and respectful teaching practices Ability to foster meaningful student engagement and dialogue in an online learning environment We strongly encourage applications from Indigenous educators and individuals with lived and community-based experience.
