OutSystems Lead Developer (OS11) Are you a hands-on OutSystems expert who enjoys leading from the front? We’re looking for a OutSystems Lead Developer (OS11) to take ownership of building scalable, enterprise-level applications while mentoring a team and shaping technical direction. This is a high-impact opportunity to influence architecture, drive best practices, and deliver solutions that make a real business impact. What You’ll Do Lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade applications on OutSystems 11 Own end-to-end delivery with a focus on scalability, performance, and security Mentor and guide a small team of developers (task planning, coaching, technical leadership) Establish and enforce OutSystems architecture best practices, including:Multi-layered architecture (Core, Foundation, End-User) Modular, reusable component design Service decomposition and dependency management Proactively identify and reduce technical debt, driving continuous improvement Conduct code reviews to maintain high standards for quality and maintainability Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions Troubleshoot and optimize applications for reliability and performance Help define and evolve coding standards, ALM practices, and environment strategy Stay current on platform updates and emerging trends What You Bring 5+ years of OutSystems development experience, including 2+ years with OS11 Proven experience delivering large-scale, enterprise applications Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide developers Deep expertise in:OutSystems architecture (layered design, modularization, dependencies) Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) Technical debt assessment and remediation Hands-on experience with SQL, data modeling, and API integrations (REST/SOAP) Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills

Nice to Have

OutSystems certifications (Professional Developer, Architecture Specialist, etc.) Experience integrating with ERP, CRM, or other enterprise systems Exposure to cloud environments (AWS preferred) Experience with CI/CD pipelines in OutSystems Why This Role Lead meaningful, enterprise-scale initiatives Influence architecture and technical direction Work with a collaborative, high-performing team Stay hands-on while growing your leadership impact Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $75.00 - $85.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
