Paralegal | $70/hr Remote

Position: Paralegal / Legal Assistant (PII Compliance) Type: Contract Compensation: $40 - $70/hour Location: Remote Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week Role Responsibilities

• Review, redact, and generalize sensitive documents to ensure compliance with PII regulations while balancing data utility and privacy obligations.
• Support M&A documentation by preparing and managing Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs), Sale and Purchase Agreements (SPAs), and other critical deal documentation.
• Implement and maintain rigorous compliance protocols and reconciliation processes for complex data sets to ensure adherence to legal standards.
• Advise on structural identifiability of confidential workflows and proprietary procedures unique to clients, ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, and finance teams to resolve PII-related issues and provide subject matter guidance.
• Assist in drafting and revising compliance policies and training materials to reflect best practices in data privacy.

Requirements

• Have a minimum of of hands-on experience with PII compliance in a legal or corporate environment.
• Demonstrate the ability to identify non-obvious PII and apply advanced redaction and generalization techniques effectively.
• Possess a solid understanding of M&A processes, including familiarity with Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs) and Sale and Purchase Agreements (SPAs).
• Be proficient in drafting, reviewing, and managing sensitive financial and corporate documents with attention to detail.
• Exhibit exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and clarity.
