[Remote] Cloudflare Developer, Platform Engineer

EPAM Systems is seeking an experienced Cloudflare Developer (Platform Engineer) to support a high-profile global client engagement in the pharmaceutical sector. This role focuses on building, optimizing, and scaling solutions on the Cloudflare Developer Platform, emphasizing Workers, AI capabilities, and edge-native architectures.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain solutions using Cloudflare Workers and the Cloudflare Developer Platform
- Develop and deploy edge-native applications with high performance, security, and scalability
- Implement and optimize Cloudflare AI tools (e.g., Workers AI, AI Gateway, Vectorize, related services)
- Integrate Cloudflare services with existing enterprise systems and cloud platforms
- Contribute to architecture decisions, best practices, and platform standards
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and harden production workloads
- Collaborate closely with client engineering, security, and platform teams
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers as the team scales
Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with the Cloudflare Developer Platform
- Proven expertise with Cloudflare Workers
- Solid understanding of edge computing concepts and serverless architectures
- Experience with APIs, event-driven services, and distributed systems
- Strong JavaScript / TypeScript skills
- Familiarity with security, performance optimization, and observability at the edge
- Experience working in enterprise or regulated environments is a strong plus
- Direct experience with Cloudflare AI tools (Workers AI, AI Gateway, Vectorize, etc.)
- Previous employment or deep project experience at Cloudflare
- Experience with Zero Trust, Access, WAF, and other Cloudflare security products
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code
- Experience supporting global, high-availability platforms
