[Remote] Creative Strategist, Paid Media

They are seeking a Creative Strategist who will lead the paid creative strategy and help shape how players perceive Wand by developing engaging messaging and creative concepts based on gamer insights.

Responsibilities

  • Own the ideas that shape how millions of players discover and experience Wand
  • Be the driving force behind our paid creative strategy across Meta, Google, YouTube, TikTok, and emerging platforms
  • Define the stories we tell, the emotions we tap into, and the angles we test
  • Build and evolve the creative systems that help us consistently produce winning ads
  • Turn creative production into a repeatable growth engine rather than a series of one-off campaigns
  • Develop the positioning, messaging, and creative angles that make players feel understood rather than marketed to
  • Find the moments, frustrations, goals, and inside jokes that resonate with real gamers
  • Translate gameplay experiences into concepts that stop thumbs and drive action
  • Help define Wand's voice as we continue scaling globally
  • Champion bold ideas and test them quickly
  • Create frameworks for turning creative learnings into future wins
  • Continuously uncover new opportunities, patterns, and insights from performance data
  • Push beyond templates and recycled formats to create original work that feels native to gaming culture
  • Direct freelancers, editors, designers, creators, and agency partners
  • Build sharp briefs that inspire great work
  • Give clear, actionable feedback that improves output without slowing teams down
  • Ensure every creative shipped reflects both player understanding and performance intent

Skills

  • 4–6 years in creative strategy, performance marketing, copywriting, creative direction, or a related role
  • Experience creating performance-focused paid social creative
  • Strong understanding of Meta, Google, YouTube, TikTok, and platform-native creative formats
  • Experience turning insights and data into creative decisions
  • Experience managing freelancers, agencies, or creative partners
  • A portfolio demonstrating concept development, messaging, and creative thinking—not just execution
  • Ability to explain both the idea behind a creative and the outcome it drove
  • Gaming industry experience
  • Entertainment, media, or consumer app experience
  • Deep familiarity with gaming communities, creators, and internet culture
  • Experience in high-growth startups
  • Understanding of accessibility in gaming
