We are actively hiring motivated, customer-focused professionals to join our remote Customer Care team. If you live in North Carolina, thrive in a virtual environment, and want to be part of a Fortune-level organization that truly values heart-driven service, this is the opportunity you have been waiting for.

Position Summary

Bring your heart to work at careerzynith! We are currently building and staffing multiple Customer Care support teams within our Caremark Member Operations division. In this role, you will serve as a vital point of contact for our plan members, helping them better understand their pharmacy benefits, prescription insurance coverage, mail-order prescription options, and medication-related inquiries.

As a Customer Care Representative, you will handle inbound calls from members seeking clarity and guidance about their healthcare benefits. Your primary responsibility is to simplify the healthcare experience for every caller by providing accurate information, empathetic support, and effective solutions. No two calls will be exactly alike, and that is part of what makes this role so engaging — you will encounter a wide variety of call types, including Commercial, Medicare Part D, Medicaid, and specialized client inquiries.

This is more than a typical customer service job. It is a chance to build a career in the healthcare industry while making a tangible difference in the lives of others. Throughout your tenure, you will receive comprehensive training designed to upskill you, expand your knowledge of healthcare operations, and prepare you for advancement opportunities within careerzynith.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to inbound calls from plan members regarding pharmacy benefit plans, prescription coverage, and mail-order prescription services.
  • Clearly and accurately explain prescription insurance details, formulary coverage, copay structures, and medication options to members.
  • Navigate multiple Windows-based applications simultaneously to research member accounts, verify benefits, and document call outcomes.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service that reflects careerzynith's commitment to empathy, patience, and heart-driven care.
  • Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and all governmental compliance standards governing protected health information.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify the member experience by offering proactive solutions and resources.
  • Adapt to evolving business needs by learning new client accounts, call types, and procedural updates as they are introduced.
  • Collaborate with team members, trainers, and leadership to share insights, troubleshoot challenges, and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Accurately document all member interactions in accordance with established protocols and quality standards.
  • Meet or exceed performance metrics related to call handling, quality assurance, member satisfaction, and schedule adherence.
  • Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling, including the ability to work varied hours based on business demands and call volume fluctuations.
  • Participate in ongoing coaching, professional development, and career progression activities.

Work from Home Flexibility

careerzynith proudly offers work from home flexibility for colleagues who meet the established criteria. To succeed in a remote environment, you will need to maintain a reliable high-speed internet connection that meets our technical requirements, establish a secure and private workspace that is free from distractions, and successfully complete our comprehensive training program. Adherence to HIPAA and all governmental compliance requirements is mandatory in this role. Our organization invests heavily in the tools, technology, and support you need to thrive in a virtual setting, ensuring you remain connected, productive, and engaged with your team regardless of physical location.

Training and Onboarding

Your success is our priority from day one. We provide a comprehensive training program designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to excel in your role. Training is delivered through a blend of virtual instructor-led sessions, hands-on learning activities, self-paced modules, and direct leadership engagement. The minimum training duration is six weeks, though the exact format and location may vary based on individual experience and business needs. Some colleagues may begin with onsite training before transitioning to a work from home arrangement, while others may complete the entire program virtually. Regardless of the path, you will have access to experienced trainers, supportive mentors, and a leadership team committed to your growth.

Schedule and Hours

We understand that flexibility is essential for maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Our full-time schedules typically range from 30 to 40 hours per week, with specific days off and shift times varying based on operational needs. As a strategic and dynamic organization, we adjust scheduled working hours to align with fluctuations in call volume. During periods of peak demand, your standard hours may be increased, while quieter periods may result in reduced hours. Any schedule adjustments will be communicated with advance notice and will not impact your benefit eligibility. While you will have a base schedule selected at the time of offer, please expect some variability in your hours as business needs evolve.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of experience interacting with customers in a professional setting, such as a call center, retail environment, customer service department, hospitality venue, or through military service.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency in Windows-based applications, including the ability to navigate multiple programs simultaneously.
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Residency in the state of North Carolina.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and a distraction-free home workspace.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a positive, productive approach to challenges.
  • Natural ability to relate to customers in a patient, helpful manner that demonstrates genuine concern for improving their quality of life.
  • Consistent reliability and a strong track record of compliance with scheduling standards.
  • Capacity to exhibit patience, empathy, assurance, and confidence during every member interaction.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including courteous telephone etiquette and professional communication.
  • Strong oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
  • At least six months of experience in a healthcare-related role or environment.
