Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Remote Customer Service Representative to join the Payments and Digital Strategy group within the careerzynith Credit Union. This role is the front line of our member‑service operations, handling a wide range of financial transactions, fraud investigations, and compliance activities. You will work from the comfort of your home while supporting careerzynith members nationwide, ensuring every interaction is handled with professionalism, accuracy, and empathy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily transaction processing, including ACH, wire transfers, direct deposits, and loan payments.
  • Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts, ensuring strict adherence to NACHA and Federal banking regulations.
  • Coordinate with internal partners, external vendors, and the Federal Reserve to resolve transaction exceptions and discrepancies.
  • Assist multiple departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and accounting ledger adjustments.
  • Process a variety of member requests such as mortgage payments, IRA contributions, and retirement plan distributions.
  • Review, approve, and audit Remote Deposit Capture, Mobile Deposit, ATM, and other image‑enabled transactions.
  • Log, investigate, and resolve GL account changes, stop payments, and check batching activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of inbound and outbound fund transfers, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Provide timely and courteous communication with members regarding transaction status, required documentation, and next steps.
  • Support the department’s end‑of‑day and month‑end closing processes, delivering accurate reports to senior leadership.
  • Uphold data security and confidentiality standards in accordance with the Bank Secrecy Act and other regulatory frameworks.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; additional post‑secondary education is a plus.
  • Minimum of 1‑2 years of experience in a customer service or member service role, preferably within a banking or credit union environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to quickly learn proprietary systems such as careerzynith’s processing platform.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude and the ability to perform accurate calculations under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and maintain high quality standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on delivering clear, empathetic member support.
  • Self‑motivated, capable of working independently with minimal supervision while contributing to a collaborative team culture.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with ACH, wire, or other electronic funds transfer systems.
  • Familiarity with credit union operations, loan processing, or treasury management.
  • Experience using careerzynith’s core banking platform (formerly known as Episys/Symitar) or similar processing software.
  • Certification or training in compliance, fraud detection, or financial crime prevention.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends, to meet business needs.

Compensation, Perks & Benefits
