Key Responsibilities:
As a Remote Data Engineer at careerzynith, you'll play a critical role in designing, building, and managing our data pipelines to support business decision-making, product development, and security frameworks. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing, building, and managing data pipelines to support business decision-making, product development, and security frameworks
- Creating sanctioned datasets to track key product metrics, including client growth, engagement, and revenue
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Data Science, Product, Marketing, Finance, and Research to understand their data needs and provide solutions
- Implementing robust and fault-tolerant systems for data ingestion and processing
- Participating in data architecture and design decisions, bringing strong technical expertise and data-driven insights
- Ensuring the security, integrity, and compliance of data according to industry and company standards
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Scala, or Java
- Experience with distributed processing technologies and frameworks, such as Hadoop, Flink, and distributed storage systems (e.g., HDFS, S3)
- Familiarity with ETL schedulers like Airflow, Dagster, or similar frameworks
- Strong understanding of SQL and ability to write, debug, and optimize SQL code
