Key Responsibilities

  • Prescriber Evaluation Coordination: Review, organize, and process Prescriber Evaluation Referral Forms (PERF) while maintaining strict timelines for internal and external communications.
  • Data Management & Reporting: Enter, validate, and update prescriber data in the Prescriber Price Tag Decision Tool; generate ad‑hoc queries and reports for DEA dealers, pharmacy managers, and compliance teams.
  • Suspicious Order Analysis: Research and analyze managed‑substance orders at the shop stage, identify patterns of suspicious activity, and recommend corrective actions to educate pharmacies on proper ordering practices.
  • Good Faith Dispensing (GFD) Support: Assist in the administration and policy updates for Good Faith Dispensing coverage, ensuring compliance with GFD policies and DEA licensing requirements.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Partner with pharmacists, pharmacy managers, supervisors, and internal stakeholders to resolve prescriber‑related queries, validate prescription blockades, and support audit initiatives.
  • Audit & Loss Prevention: Help analysts develop and review pharmacy audits for managed‑substance losses, ensuring accurate reporting within required timeframes.
  • Training & Education: Utilize Excel, PowerPoint, and database query skills to create training materials and presentations for pharmacy staff and leadership.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay current on evolving managed‑substance ordering practices, GFD policies, and DEA regulations; serve as a subject‑matter expert for internal teams.

Essential Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience as a pharmacy technician or in a comparable data‑entry role within a pharmacy setting.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated experience with prescriber licensing requirements, including NPI, DEA, and state licenses.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite—Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Hands‑on experience querying databases and extracting data for analysis.
  • Strong analytical abilities to identify trends, exceptions, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, tailored to diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior involvement in Good Faith Dispensing policy implementation or similar compliance initiatives.
  • Advanced Excel capabilities (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) and experience creating dynamic PowerPoint presentations for executive audiences.
