[Remote] Design Engineer, Platform
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Infisical is the open source security infrastructure platform that engineers use for secrets management, certificates, and privileged access management. They are looking for a Design Engineer who will focus on elevating the user-facing experience of their platform while collaborating closely with the engineering team. The role involves revamping the product's design, owning the design system, and building features from concept to production.
Responsibilities
- Revamp and elevate. Continuously improve the look, feel, and usability of Infisical. Rethink navigation, redesign workflows, and raise the bar on every surface of the product
- Own the design system. Build and maintain a reusable component library that makes it easy for the rest of the team to ship polished UI without getting stuck on design decisions
- Be the design voice on the team. Work closely with other engineers to unblock them on UX questions, critique implementations, and push the team to make intuitive UI
- Build end-to-end. Take features from concept to production across the stack, with a strong focus on the frontend experience
Skills
- Deep technical mastery of the JavaScript ecosystem, particularly React and TypeScript (3+ years of experience)
- A sharp eye for product design and intuitive UX. When you notice when something feels off, you know how to fix it
- Exceptional attention to detail and willingness to iterate quickly with feedback
- Based in North or South America
- Prior experience with product design or design tools like Figma. You can contribute to the design process, not just implement it
- Prior experience building or maintaining design systems
