[Remote] Electrical Design Engineer

Verto People is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a fully remote design engineering role focused on complex power generation systems for mission-critical infrastructure. The role involves supporting the design of large-scale islanded power generation systems and collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to solve non-standard engineering challenges.
Responsibilities
- Support the design of large-scale islanded power generation systems
- Work on complex generation assets, electrical infrastructure and power plant systems
- Contribute to engineering solutions for rapid load-change and mission-critical power requirements
- Review and develop design concepts for non-standard power generation applications
- Collaborate remotely with multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Apply electrical design engineering judgement to review technically challenging project work
- Support problem-solving across combined cycle, simple cycle and related generation environments
Skills
- Around 7+ years' electrical engineering experience
- Experience with power generation, electrical power systems or generation assets
- Combined cycle power generation or simple cycle power generation experience is highly desirable
- Islanded power systems experience is highly desirable
