Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end‑to‑end processing of home equity loan applications, including data entry, verification, and documentation.
  • Provide clear, courteous disclosures to borrowers, explaining loan terms, repayment schedules, and eligibility criteria.
  • Conduct daily audits of the home equity pipeline to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and submit closing documents, property condition reports, and verification of employment forms for loan candidates.
  • Maintain and update daily success tracking spreadsheets, ensuring accurate reflection of loan status and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with underwriting, compliance, and customer support teams to resolve complex inquiries and expedite approvals.
  • Uphold data security and privacy standards in accordance with the Bank Secrecy Act and other applicable regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute ideas to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, supporting the broader goals of the careerzynith Credit Association.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or higher preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a credit‑union or financial services environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and experience using loan management systems.
  • Strong knowledge of credit concepts, loan underwriting processes, and the Episys system (or comparable platforms).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information in an understandable manner.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation, with a track record of building rapport and trust with borrowers.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations, analyze data, and spot discrepancies.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Fluency in Spanish (spoken and written) is required; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Successful completion of pre‑employment background checks and compliance screenings required by careerzynith.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in contract lending, mortgage servicing, or home equity line of credit (HELOC) operations.
  • Prior customer support experience in a remote or virtual setting.
  • Certification such as Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) or similar industry credentials.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks including the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and the Truth in Lending Act (TILA).
