- Responsibilities
- Respond to all levels of inbound Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) and major medical insurance-related phone calls.
- Resolve questions and problems submitted by customers and PBM following established guidelines.
- Assist physicians in the prior authorization process, including the initiation of prior authorizations.
- Verify benefits for Major Medical via online resources or over the phone, ensuring payment of claims.
- Document contact interactions, recording details, complaints, comments, and actions taken.
- Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience providing customer service in healthcare, specialty pharmacy, PBM, call center setting, or other related industry
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (written and verbal) with good interpersonal skills
- Basic level PC skills, including MS Windows and MS Office Suite
- Must be available and punctual for scheduled work shifts
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience providing customer service related to adherence and complex disease states
- Experience in identifying operational issues and recommending strategies to resolve problems
- Intermediate level PC skills, including MS Windows and MS Office Suite
