[Remote] Manager, Accounting

The Accounting Manager role involves managing the company’s global financial consolidation and reporting processes, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, and leading a team to deliver accurate financial information for decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a power user of financial consolidation and reporting systems (e.g., Workday, Office Connect), optimizing system capabilities, data integrity, and reporting efficiency
• Lead the global monthly close and consolidation process, ensuring timely, accurate completion
• Drive continuous improvements to close timeliness, accuracy, and predictability, including root cause analysis of close issues and recurring adjustments
• Coordinate with global, regional, and revenue accounting teams to resolve issues, drive consistency, and ensure timely balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements
• Perform variance analysis and validate results against underlying accounting records in partnership with regional teams
• Ensure compliance with global accounting policies and US GAAP
• Support technical accounting initiatives, including new accounting standard implementations and complex contract reviews
• Maintain audit ready documentation and serve as a primary liaison for external auditors
• Support and enhance the financial reporting control environment, including identification and remediation of control gaps
• Support enterprise accounting initiatives and drive continuous improvement across close, consolidation, and reporting processes
• Lead, coach, and develop members of the financial reporting and consolidation team, fostering accountability and high performance
• Build strong relationships with finance and business leaders, proactively identifying issues and delivering solutions

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA
• Public accounting experience
• 7 years progressive accounting experience, including experience managing people
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and global financial reporting requirements
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally in a global, matrixed environment
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
• Experience in managing financial consolidations and global close processes
• Experience with Workday Financials and/or Office Connect (or similar consolidation and reporting tools)
