Position Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and compassionate Remote Part‑Time Data Entry Specialist to join our Specialty Mail Request Pharmacy team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately reviewing, interpreting, and entering prescription information into careerzynith’s proprietary system. You will also coordinate with pharmacies, insurance providers, and patients to verify benefits, resolve order inquiries, and ensure seamless processing of specialty medication requests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prescription Data Management: Review incoming specialty medication orders, calculate dosages, and enter all relevant data into the careerzynith system with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Benefit Verification: Contact pharmacies and insurance carriers to confirm patient eligibility, verify coverage, and resolve any discrepancies before order fulfillment.
  • Patient Communication: Answer inbound calls, document patient interactions, and provide clear guidance on order status, refill requests, and benefit re‑verification.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform routine audits of entered data to maintain high standards of data integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the pharmacy operations team, clinical specialists, and the IT support group to troubleshoot system issues and improve workflow efficiency.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of all communications, order changes, and resolution steps in accordance with careerzynith’s documentation policies.
  • Shift Flexibility: Operate within an 8‑10 hour shift window, adapting to peak call volumes and ensuring coverage during critical processing periods.

Essential Qualifications

  • Valid Illinois Pharmacy Technician License (or equivalent certification).
  • Minimum six months of experience working in a pharmacy setting, preferably with specialty medications.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer typing with a speed of 40+ wpm and high accuracy.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while performing data entry tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional experience (six months or more) as a pharmacy specialist, providing deeper insight into specialty medication workflows.
  • Three months or more of experience handling inbound and outbound customer service calls.
  • Background in health‑care, particularly familiarity with insurance benefits, pharmacy benefits management, and clinical services.
  • Experience with medical billing, coding, or other clinical support functions.
  • Prior exposure to an office environment that emphasizes teamwork and patient interaction.
