[Remote] Risk Adjustment Data Analyst

In this role, you will analyze data from clients, create reports, and implement process improvements to enhance the data analysis lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Gather Business RequirementsUnderstand Datavant’s business, products and data storesGather requirements from clients around data analysisWork with the customer success managers (CSMs) to review and validate the data analysis requirementsPerform data manipulation and analysisIdentify the best sources of primary or secondary data to satisfy business requirementsWork with cross-functional teams (analytics, data integrations, engineering) to collect and transform dataReview active project metrics with CSMs to determine if forecasted outcomes are in alignment with expectationsCommunicate InsightsUse business intelligence tools to create reports and visualizations that communicate results of data analysisCombine data from multiple sources and business logic to create standard and custom output reports for deliveryPresent and explain analytical problems, approaches, results, and recommendationsImprove ProcessesUse preliminary analyses to revise report methodologies, when necessary, and analyze end resultsDevelop and implement scripts to automate analyses to solve data problemsOversee the implementation of approved process improvementsDemonstrate Initiative and FocusDemonstrate ability to adapt in a rapidly changing environment with evolving product capabilitiesHave a high degree of initiative and customer service focusBe a results oriented team player Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Health Services, Economics or equivalent field required
  • 1-3 years of hands-on work experience in business intelligence and analytics
  • Technical knowledge of BI techniques and tools like Sigma BI, Power BI or Looker
  • Experience conducting data analysis in SQL and Excel, and a scripting language like Python, R, SAS
  • Strong communication skills necessary to relay complex data analysis requirements to team members and customers
  • Strong organizational and planning skills are essential
  • Ability to work independently when needed, applying critical thinking and problem solving to achieve a positive outcome
  • Experience working in the healthcare industry
  • Experience and familiarity with MA, ACA and Medicaid Risk Adjustment models
  • Experience with other business intelligence backend and analytics applications
  • Familiarity with or interest in learning Databricks, Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, etc for data ETL, pipelines, and intermediate engineering work Company Overview
