[Remote] Security Engineer - Email Security Application

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. VAILEXA is seeking a Security Engineer specializing in Email Security Applications. The role involves designing, implementing, and supporting Cisco Email Security Appliance solutions while serving as the primary technical contact for email security deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and support of Cisco Email Security Appliance solutions in enterprise environment
• Serve as the primary technical contact for email security deliverables including spam protection, malware defense, data loss prevention, and authentication protocols such as SPF, DKIM, and DMARC
• Collaborate with cross functional project teams to align email security solutions with the customer security strategy
• Conduct customer facing workshops, technical reviews, and status meetings with clear and professional communication
• Document policies, mail flow configurations, and operational procedures
• Troubleshoot complex issues related to message filtering, quarantine management, outbreak filters, and mail integration
• Provide knowledge transfer and guidance to customer security and email operations team

Skills

• Deep expertise with Cisco Email Security Appliance including configuration, troubleshooting, and enterprise deployment
• Proven experience serving as a subject matter expert in customer facing engagement
• Strong communication skills with ability to deliver executive level presentations and written communication
• Ability to work within United States time zones including Eastern, Central, or Pacific
• Experience working within collaborative project delivery team
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a security focused mindset
• Security certifications such as CompTIA Security Plus, CCNP Security, or CCIE Security
• AWS certifications such as AWS Security Specialty or AWS Cloud Practitioner
• Experience with Cisco Secure Email Cloud Gateway or similar platform
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Defender for Office 365 or comparable solution
• Experience with hybrid email environments combining on premises and cloud configuration
