As a seasonal member of our Donor Contact Services team, you will become an integral part of this mission‑driven culture, helping donors feel connected, valued, and inspired to continue their generous support.

Role Overview – Seasonal Remote Customer Service Representative

This position is a full‑time, seasonal role that runs from October 21st through December 31st. It is designed for individuals who thrive in a fast‑paced call‑center environment, enjoy meaningful conversations, and are eager to represent careerzynith’s values to donors across the United States. The role is remote, but candidates must reside in a U.S. state that observes Mountain Time.

Key Highlights

  • Remote work from any eligible Mountain‑Time‑zone state.
  • Competitive hourly wage ranging from $16.56 to $23.06, with a typical hiring range of $19‑$21 per hour.
  • Three‑week paid training program to build expertise in donor engagement.
  • Opportunity to serve as the “Voice of careerzynith” to a diverse donor base.
  • Flexible shift‑bidding system after training, with shifts between 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM MT.

Core Responsibilities

As a Seasonal Customer Service Representative within careerzynith’s Donor Contact Services Call Center, you will be the primary liaison between our organization and its supporters. Your daily duties will include both inbound and occasional outbound calls, data entry, and collaborative teamwork. Below is a detailed breakdown of your responsibilities:

  • Donor Interaction: Answer inbound calls from current and prospective donors, providing accurate information about careerzynith programs, disaster relief efforts, and the careerzynith Gift Catalog.
  • Outbound Outreach: Make outbound calls when prompted by campaigns, acknowledging gifts, and exploring opportunities for additional support.
  • Cross‑Selling & Upselling: Identify and communicate relevant careerzynith programs that align with donor interests, encouraging multi‑program involvement.
  • Data Management: Accurately capture donor information using careerzynith’s CRM system, ensuring all entries meet quality standards and ten‑key entry speed requirements.
  • Active Listening & Empathy: Demonstrate compassionate listening, respond to donor concerns, and, when appropriate, offer prayer or spiritual support.
  • Performance Metrics: Meet or exceed individual call‑center statistics, including call handling time, quality scores, and donation conversion rates.
  • Continuous Learning: Participate in ongoing training sessions, absorb feedback, and stay current on careerzynith’s evolving programs and initiatives.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow representatives, supervisors, and support staff to achieve collective goals and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Compliance & Ethics: Adhere to careerzynith’s policies, procedures, and core values, ensuring donor confidentiality and data security at all times.
  • Additional Duties: Perform any other tasks assigned by supervisors that support the mission and operational efficiency of the Donor Contact Services team.

  • At least one year of experience in customer service, sales, or a call‑center environment (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Minimum typing speed of 20 words per minute.
  • Reliable high‑speed internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps download, 6 Mbps upload).
  • Ability to work a full eight‑hour shift, including breaks, within the designated Mountain‑Time operating window.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proper grammar and clear articulation.

Preferred Qualifications & Attributes

While not required, the following experiences and personal qualities will set you apart:

  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm and professional during high‑stress or emotionally charged calls.
  • Proven problem‑solving skills and the capacity to multitask while maintaining accuracy.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing scripts, technology platforms, and donor needs.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 suite (Outlook, Word, Teams) and a willingness to learn new software quickly.
  • Passion for sharing God’s love and a desire to incorporate spiritual encouragement into donor conversations when appropriate.
  • Previous exposure to nonprofit or mission‑driven environments, especially those focused on humanitarian aid.

Essential Skills & Competencies

Success in this role hinges on a blend of technical, interpersonal, and organizational abilities:

  • Active Listening: Fully engage with callers, understand their motivations, and respond with empathy.
  • Data Accuracy: Enter donor information precisely, minimizing errors and ensuring compliance with privacy standards.

During the initial training phase (approximately October 21st – November 8th), you will work a structured schedule of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM MT, Monday through Friday. After training, you will bid for shifts that fall anywhere between 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM MT, with two 15‑minute breaks and a 30‑minute lunch period. Compensation is hourly, with rates adjusted based on geographic location, experience, and pay‑equity considerations. This seasonal position does not include traditional benefits, but you will receive a paid training period and the intrinsic reward of contributing to careerzynith’s humanitarian impact.
