Key Responsibilities

As a Data Analyst II within the careerzynith Data Adventures team, you will:

  • Collaborate with business and product stakeholders to translate complex business problems into analytical solutions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar tools.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA), hypothesis testing, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics to uncover hidden patterns and trends.
  • Build and orchestrate multi‑step ETL pipelines, leveraging SQL, Python, Presto, and cloud‑based platforms such as Google BigQuery, Snowflake, or AWS Redshift.
  • Ensure data quality and consistency by implementing validation frameworks, data profiling, and automated testing (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, Tosca).
  • Partner with data stewards and the data engineering team to ingest, cleanse, and catalog data from diverse sources, adhering to best‑in‑class data governance practices.
  • Develop and document data models (ER diagrams) and maintain a clear lineage of data transformations.
  • Communicate insights effectively to non‑technical audiences, crafting compelling narratives that drive action.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies—such as Prophet, Teradata, Hive, Azure Synapse, and Snowflake—and evaluate their applicability to careerzynith’s analytics roadmap.
  • Mentor junior analysts, share knowledge, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Essential Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should possess the following core qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2–4 years of hands‑on experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or data engineering within a fast‑paced environment.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language for data manipulation (Python, R, or Scala).
    • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar).
    • Familiarity with data quality platforms (Collibra, SAS Data Quality, IBM InfoSphere) and automated testing frameworks.
    • Hands‑on experience building ETL pipelines and working with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Luigi, or Prefect).
    • Exposure to cloud data warehouses (Google BigQuery, Snowflake, AWS Redshift) and big‑data processing engines (Hive, Spark).
  • Analytical Acumen: Strong exploratory data analysis capabilities, statistical reasoning, and the ability to translate numbers into strategic recommendations.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for storytelling through data.

  • Exposure to advanced analytics platforms like Prophet for forecasting, or Snowflake’s native features for data sharing.
