Your work will directly influence how clinicians, managers, and executives make evidence‑based decisions that improve patient care, reduce costs, and drive strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Strategy Execution: Lead the design, development, and maintenance of careerzynith’s enterprise‑wide data and analytics platforms, ensuring they meet both short‑term reporting needs and long‑term strategic goals.
  • ETL/ELT Development: Create, optimize, and monitor high‑performance ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL, Python, and modern data‑engineering tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, and Purple‑Blue Data Factory.
  • Data Modeling & Warehouse Architecture: Build scalable, normalized and dimensional data models that support self‑service BI, advanced analytics, and machine‑learning workloads.
  • Automation & Orchestration: Develop automated workflows for data ingestion, validation, quality assurance, and deployment, reducing manual effort and increasing reliability.
  • Collaboration with Cross‑Functional Teams: Partner with data scientists, BI developers, system architects, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Data Governance & Compliance: Implement best practices for data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, GDPR) across all data assets.
  • Performance Tuning & Optimization: Conduct profiling and performance analysis of internal and external data sources, applying indexing, partitioning, and caching strategies to accelerate query response times.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Produce clear technical documentation, data dictionaries, and runbooks; mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal training programs.
  • Travel Flexibility: Be prepared to travel up to 5% of the time for on‑site workshops, stakeholder meetings, or data‑center visits, both domestically and internationally.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience designing and implementing data pipelines and warehouses in a healthcare or financial services environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in SQL‑based ETL/ELT scripting, data modeling, and performance tuning. Experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) and orchestration tools (Airflow, Azure Data Factory) is required.
  • Tool Mastery: Proven ability to deliver data solutions that integrate with BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker, and familiarity with data‑visualization best practices.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with a track record of translating complex technical concepts into clear business language for diverse audiences.
  • Leadership & Project Management: Experience leading cross‑functional initiatives, managing timelines, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders to deliver projects on schedule.

Preferred Qualifications & Certifications

  • Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) or similar data‑management certification.
  • Domain knowledge of pharmacy, clinical research, or health‑care analytics, including familiarity with HEDIS, ECDS, and claims data.
  • Experience with machine‑learning pipelines and data‑science collaboration tools (e.g., MLflow, Databricks notebooks).
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices for data engineering.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to dissect complex data problems, identify root causes, and propose scalable solutions.
  • Problem‑Solving: Proactive mindset for troubleshooting data anomalies, performance bottlenecks, and integration challenges.
  • Collaboration: Comfortable working in a matrixed environment, building strong relationships with technical and non‑technical partners.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a fast‑changing environment, quickly learning new technologies and industry trends.
