About careerzynith

careerzynith is a world‑leading digital platform that connects billions of users across the globe through video, live streaming, and community‑driven content. As a subsidiary of a major technology conglomerate, careerzynith combines cutting‑edge artificial intelligence, massive data infrastructure, and a vibrant creator ecosystem to deliver safe, engaging experiences for viewers, creators, and advertisers alike. Our Trust & Safety (T&S) division is the guardian of that experience, ensuring that the platform remains a welcoming space where people can share ideas, learn new skills, and be entertained without fear of harassment, fraud, or malicious activity.

Why This Role Matters

In today’s hyper‑connected world, malicious actors constantly evolve their tactics—ranging from account takeovers and spam campaigns to sophisticated coordinated misinformation attacks. The Senior Director, Global Head of Adversarial Abuse & Analytics will spearhead careerzynith’s fight against these threats, shaping strategy, building world‑class analytical capabilities, and leading cross‑functional teams that protect millions of daily interactions. This is a unique opportunity to blend data‑driven insight with high‑impact leadership, all while working remotely and enjoying a competitive hourly rate of $24.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and execute a global roadmap for adversarial abuse detection, mitigation, and prevention, aligning with careerzynith’s broader Trust & Safety mission.
  • Team Management: Lead two core squads—Adversarial Abuse Operations and Business Analytics—providing mentorship, performance feedback, and career development for senior managers, data scientists, and analysts.
  • Risk Identification & Modeling: Oversee the design and deployment of advanced machine‑learning models that surface emerging abuse patterns, including AI‑generated content, coordinated spam, and credential stuffing.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Engineering, Policy, and Global Operations to embed abuse‑prevention signals into product features, policy enforcement tools, and user‑experience flows.
  • Data‑Driven Decision Making: Direct the creation of dashboards, KPI frameworks, and executive‑level reports that translate raw data into actionable insights for senior leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Incident Response: Coordinate rapid‑response initiatives for high‑severity abuse incidents, ensuring timely containment, root‑cause analysis, and post‑mortem documentation.
  • Regulatory & Transparency Reporting: Produce clear, concise transparency reports for governments and the public, highlighting abuse trends, mitigation outcomes, and compliance status.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Champion a culture of experimentation, encouraging the team to prototype novel detection techniques, evaluate emerging threats, and iterate on existing processes.
  • On‑Call Rotation: Participate in a rotating on‑call schedule that may include occasional weekends to guarantee 24×7 coverage of critical abuse incidents.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience leading risk‑mitigation or abuse‑prevention initiatives at scale, preferably within a large‑volume online platform.
  • Demonstrated expertise in building and managing data pipelines, statistical models, and ML‑based detection systems.
  • Proven ability to guide cross‑functional teams through ambiguous, fast‑changing environments while maintaining clear priorities.
  • Strong communication skills, with the capacity to translate complex technical concepts into business‑focused narratives for executives and external partners.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekend on‑call duties, to support a global 24‑hour operation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Machine Learning, or Computational Social Science.
  • Experience analyzing massive datasets (billions of rows) to uncover subtle abuse signals and anomalies.
  • Background in adversarial research, cybersecurity, or digital forensics, with a demonstrated interest in combating malicious online behavior.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or MATLAB for data extraction, analysis, and model development.
  • Track record of publishing internal or external research on abuse detection, policy impact, or related topics.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with a history of building strong relationships across product, engineering, legal, and policy teams.
  • Business acumen to translate analytical findings into strategic recommendations that drive product and policy decisions.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical Rigor: Ability to design experiments, conduct statistical testing, and interpret results with precision.
  • Leadership Presence: Inspire confidence, motivate high‑performing teams, and navigate complex organizational dynamics.
  • Technical Fluency: Comfortable discussing architecture, data engineering, and ML model lifecycle with engineers and scientists.
  • Strategic Vision: Anticipate future abuse trends (e.g., generative AI misuse) and proactively shape mitigation roadmaps.
  • Communication Excellence: Craft clear, compelling narratives for internal briefings, external transparency reports, and policy briefings.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a rapidly evolving environment where priorities shift based on emerging threats.
  • Ethical Judgment: Balance user safety with privacy considerations, ensuring responsible use of data and algorithms.
