Position Overview

This full‑time, remote position reports to the Lead Engineer of the Integrated Projects Division. You will provide expert engineering support for aircraft and component maintenance, develop and maintain design standards, and act as a technical mentor for junior engineers. Your work will directly impact aircraft availability, operational reliability, and the overall passenger experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership: Conduct training sessions for engineers in your area of expertise and serve as a mentor and guide for junior staff.
  • Design Support: Provide engineering assistance for the upkeep and operation of aircraft and related equipment, ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate standards.
  • Standard Development: Create, update, and maintain aircraft and component design standards, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Problem Solving: Analyze aircraft/component issues that could cause delays or cancellations, recommend corrective actions, and implement solutions that minimize labor and material costs.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with manufacturers, internal stakeholders, and maintenance teams to validate engineering methods and ensure alignment with corporate policies.
  • Project Management: Lead or facilitate project teams, develop work plans for fleet and component design initiatives, and track progress against defined objectives.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate engineering records, update technical libraries, and ensure all activities comply with applicable regulations and internal requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Leverage available resources to build technical expertise, enhance communication skills, and drive efficiency in daily operations.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Prepare and deliver presentations that clearly convey engineering solutions to internal and external customers.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of engineering experience in a related discipline or 2 years of relevant experience without a degree.
  • Current A&P (Airframe & Powerplant) license or equivalent certification.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical data and make data‑driven decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver technical presentations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
