Summary

The Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration, configuration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of BetterHealth IT systems and applications, including server infrastructure, Confluence, Jira, Microsoft Intune, and Remote Monitoring and Management systems. This role will support and optimize our enterprise collaboration, endpoint management, and infrastructure platforms. The Systems Administrator must possess a blend of application administration, endpoint management, automation, and systems engineering expertise; additionally, the Systems Administrator must ensure the reliability, security, and performance of critical business systems. Essential Functions Manage and monitor Linux and Windows servers, including configuration, testing, patching, and maintenance. Manage and monitor BetterHealth’s systems and applications. Perform upgrades, configuration changes, deployment, and patching as needed. Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement remediation efforts. Serve as a subject matter expert of BetterHealth’s infrastructure and server operations. Develop and maintain documentation related to server build and application management. Develop and maintain PowerShell and batch automation scripts. Administer Atlassian products (Confluence and Jira) and related plugins, including patching, optimization, configuration changes, automation configuration, provisioning, and issue resolution. Provide technical assistance with the installation and configuration of systems and applications. Research, evaluate, and recommend infrastructure and application improvements. Monitor and, where applicable, triage or resolve technology tickets and project requests. Provide on-call support coverage as needed. Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibility. Competencies To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills, Oral and Written Communications Strategic Thinking and Problem Solving Computer and Technical Skills Ethics, Diversity, Initiative and Teamwork Quality, Safety and Security Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required 3+ years of Linux and Windows server management experience Experience and comfort working with large groups of individuals Self-directed, with the ability to prioritize and simultaneously work on multiple projects Experience with AWS preferred Experience with Confluence and Jira preferred Experience working in the nonprofit sector preferred Skills Required Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
