Transition Manager – Experienced Hire Integration Team (HYBRID OR REMOTE)

The Transition Manager plays a critical role in supporting the successful transition of a financial advisor into Equitable Advisors, which includes collaborating closely with the Business Transfer team and other stakeholders. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining positive relationships with clients and advisors. What You’ll Be Doing Advisor Support & Transition Strategy: Serve as the subject matter expert and primary point of contact for advisors during their transition Build a trusting partnership with advisors, developing tailored strategies to transition their book of business based on individual goals Provide repapering support to assist new advisors in transferring their book of business to Equitable Advisors. Project Coordination & Management: Coordinate and prioritize project tasks, managing timelines, and communicating progress to managers and experienced advisors. Maintain and oversee onboarding project plan trackers, ensuring accurate and timely updates. Manage the end-to-end transition process for experienced advisor transitions, including product mapping, asset transition planning, and account transfers. Training & Support: Train and support local branch staff to serve as effective on-site transition partners. Provide training to experienced advisors and their teams on Clientworks and initiate account pre-population processes. Offer in-person support during the initial phase of the advisor’s transition, including travel as needed. Account Management & Reporting: Partner with the Business Transfer team to map advisors’ books of business and ensure accurate client data collection. Maintain accurate reporting of accounts and assets transferred versus anticipated transfers. Set transition timeline expectations and manage timelines accordingly. This position offers a flexible work schedule: it may be fully remote/hybrid. If you are located near one of our offices (e.g., Charlotte, NC; New York, NY; Syracuse, NY), a hybrid schedule with 2–3 days on-site per week is expected to foster collaboration and connection. The base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Excellent time management and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and maintain positive relationships. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project). Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. Detail-oriented and proactive in addressing advisor needs. Willingness to travel for in-person support during advisor transitions. Skills Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. Knowledge of Organization: Knowledge of the organization's vision, structure, culture, philosophy, operating principles, values, and code of ethics; ability to understand the value of aligning capabilities with business goals to support optimal performance. Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation. Project Administration: Knowledge of project administration best practices and ability to use organizational strategies, practices and tools for administering projects.
