Volunteer: Motion Graphics Designer, Video Team - Remote (US)WeVote has an open volunteering position for a Motion Graphics Designer‑Animator (2–3 hours per week) who wants to use their existing skills and learn new skills while helping strengthen American Democracy.You need to commit to at least 2–3 hours each week during our core team hours M‑F 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. in US PT. The role is fully remote.About UsWeVote is a nonpartisan get‑out‑the‑vote nonprofit startup and a celebrated Fast Forward nonprofit technology grantee. We are a movement of over 60 passionate volunteers building open‑source mobile technologies that touch and mobilize millions of voters on Election Day. We aim to provide a complete voting experience in 8 minutes, including download of our app (“WeVote Ballot Guide”). We are 100% volunteer and remote.What You’ll DoDevelop and design dynamic motion graphics for video content.Collaborate with producers, directors, and designers to align creative vision on short‑form video projects and templates for recurring content.Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines efficiently.Participate in creative brainstorming sessions to produce innovative content ideas.Adapt and optimize video content for various digital platforms.Conduct quality checks and revisions based on feedback.Maintain an organized library of motion‑graphic assets and project files.Who You Are: Must‑Haves2–3 years of experience as a Motion Graphics Designer or Video Editor.Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and the Adobe Creative Cloud ecosystem.Strong ability to create engaging and dynamic motion graphics from scratch.Strong sense of visual aesthetics, pacing, and brand identity.Ability to independently transform ideas into dynamic text and images.Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work under deadlines.Willingness to brainstorm and contribute creative ideas.Portfolio or reel showcasing previous motion‑graphics work.Interest in and familiarity with video for social media (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube).Desire to help build and grow WeVote’s video team.Committed to strengthening American Democracy.Striving for personal excellence.Willingness to work with and support other volunteers.Currently located in the US and able to work 1–2 hours that overlap with US PT per week.How to ApplyPlease include a link to your portfolio or reel in your cover letter.
