- Use a variety of programming languages to create user-friendly responsive mobile web pages
- Maintain, update and improve company websites
- Work on assigned tasks in Trello
- Test and implement WordPress theme and plug-in updates; install, update, and ensure third-party scripts and integrations are functioning properly
- Work in a multidisciplinary team with other professionals
- Design and build the website front-end
- Optimize company website for maximum performance, stability, and scalability
- Maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the company website
- Respond to incident responses as needed
- Follow brand guidelines
- Make suggestions for better solutions and work collaboratively with colleagues to gather user feedback
- Keep abreast of the latest and emerging technologies
- Attend company meetings and lead as needed (weekly or otherwise)
Requirements:
- One year of proven experience as a WordPress developer (Avada theme experience highly preferred)
- Minimum one year of experience working with PHP / MySQL
- Minimum one year experience with front-end technologies (i.e., JavaScript, HTML and CSS)
- Knowledge of technical SEO principles
- Focus on responsive mobile user experience
- Sense of ownership and pride in your performance
- Knowledge of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Critical thinker and problem-solver
- Team player
- Good time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills (good English speaker and writer)
- Fast and reliable internet connection
- BA in Computer Science or 2 years related work experience
