Beauty Retail Market Research Specialist (Part-Time)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced beauty retail professional to support our market research initiatives. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working at Sephora and/or Ulta Beauty and a strong understanding of cosmetics products, beauty trends, and customer behavior. This role combines remote work with regular visits to beauty retail stores to conduct on-site research.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience at Sephora and/or Ulta Beauty
- Knowledge of various cosmetics products, brands, and current market trends
- Familiarity with customer preferences and shopping behavior
- Basic Excel knowledge
- Willingness and ability to travel to local stores for in-person market research
- Excellent communication and observational skills
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
- Availability for approximately 20 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Visit beauty retail stores to observe product displays, merchandising and customer behavior
- Provide insights on cosmetics products and beauty retail trends
- Support market research projects through in-store observations, surveys, and feedback
- Analyze and report on competitor offerings
- Organize and track data using Excel
Compensation $20 - $25 per hour, approximately 20 hours per week.
