Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

Education:

Minimum high school diploma or GED, with 2 years of college or higher education preferred

Experience:

1 year of customer service or call center experience in a healthcare-related role, with medical intake or Third-Party Administrator (TPA) experience preferred

Language:

Bilingual English-Spanish a plus

Skills:

+ Excellent customer relations, interpersonal, and communication skills + Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft applications + Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information + Knowledge of medical terminology, provider organizations, and networks + Understanding of CMS Medicare reimbursement rates and ability to negotiate rate structures

Certifications:

None required, but certifications in medical terminology, customer service, or a related field are a plus

Responsibilities

As a Concierge Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:

• Responding to telephone and email inquiries from members and providers within defined service standards
• Negotiating with providers to gain acceptance for plans without network agreements and/or out-of-network providers
• Assisting members with benefits and healthcare questions
• Documenting all calls received in system-based call log
• Performing other duties and responsibilities as needed
