Freelance Full Stack Developer
Responsibilities:
- Turning loosely defined business problems into concrete technical solutions.
- Designing and building backend and full-stack services using TypeScript, Node.js, and Next.js .
- Creating AI-powered workflow automation using frameworks like Mastra, LangChain, or similar.
- Integrating and experimenting with leading LLMs (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) and routing platforms such as OpenRouter.
- Building observability and evaluation into AI systems (LangSmith, Langfuse, LangWatch, or custom tooling).
- Deploying and maintaining cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or GCP.
- Working with serverless architectures (e. g. AWS Lambda).
- Managing infrastructure via infrastructure-as-code (CloudFormation; Terraform a plus).
- Setting up and improving CI/CD pipelines.
- Prototyping quickly, shipping iteratively, and refining based on real customer and stakeholder feedback.
- Collaborating directly with the CTO on architecture, AI strategy, and long-term technical direction.
- Developing a working understanding of insurance workflows and translating domain complexity into scalable systems.
Requirements:
- Strong experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and modern web/backend frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Next.js, serverless systems, and cloud-native development.
- Experience with AI orchestration frameworks (LangChain, Mastra, or equivalents).
- Practical experience working with modern LLMs and multi-model setups.
- Solid knowledge of AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment workflows.
- Proven ability to understand business context quickly.
- Comfort working from ambiguous, high-level requirements.
- Strong product and customer intuition, you think in terms of users, workflows, and outcomes.
- Ability to turn minimal direction into clear technical plans, fast prototypes production-ready systems.
- High ownership and reliability in a remote, async-first setup.
- Comfortable using AI tools daily as part of your development and thinking process.
- Clear, structured communication in English (German is a huge plus; all the test data is in German).
