Key Responsibilities

In this remote position, you will be responsible for a broad range of daily operational tasks that keep the careerzynith Credit Union running smoothly. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Transaction Processing & Reconciliation: Perform data entry, posting, and daily balancing of ACH, wire, and electronic fund transfers.
  • Partner Coordination: Liaise with internal stakeholders, external vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other financial institutions to resolve transaction discrepancies.
  • Fraud & Inquiry Support: Assist multiple departments with fraud investigations, member inquiries, and general ledger adjustments.
  • Member Case Management: Handle assigned member cases, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to compliance standards.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Follow and maintain strict compliance with NACHA rules, Federal banking regulations, and the Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Payment Processing: Process loan payments, multi‑account deposits, credit card payments, and a variety of examinations such as IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff statements.
  • Remote Deposit & Imaging: Review, verify, and approve remote deposit captures, mobile deposits, ATM transactions, and other image‑enabled products.
  • General Ledger Adjustments: Log, analyze, and post significant GL, account changes, and reversals.
  • Stop Pay & Check Batching: Execute stop‑pay orders and manage check‑batching processes.
  • Daily Balancing & Closing: Complete daily reconciliations and department close procedures.
  • Fund Transfer Management: Gather necessary information for timely and accurate processing of domestic and international fund transfer requests.
  • Research & Validation: Research and validate incoming and outgoing fund transfer data, ensuring compliance with legal guidelines.
  • Deposit Return Processing: Process deposit returns, review member accounts for draft changes, and confirm external transfers with the Federal Reserve.
  • Overdue Collections: Manage daily workflows related to overdue returns, receipt issuance, foreign collections, and prison fees.
  • Data Security & Confidentiality: Safeguard all account information and ensure all activities comply with relevant legal and regulatory standards.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong analytical abilities and comfort performing mathematical calculations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment while juggling multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to maintaining perfect attendance and overall performance standards.
  • Willingness to complete careerzynith and Credit Union pre‑employment compliance examinations.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following experiences will set you apart from other candidates:

  • Prior experience in customer or member service roles, especially within a banking or credit union setting.
  • Familiarity with banking platforms such as Episys or Symitar and experience processing wire transfers.
  • Hands‑on experience with ACH processing, remote deposit capture, and other electronic payment systems.
  • Previous exposure to regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., NACHA, BSA/AML).
