Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Design Support

  • Provide expert engineering guidance for the upkeep and operation of aircraft and related hardware.
  • Develop, review, and maintain aircraft and component design specifications within your areas of responsibility.
  • Act as a subject‑matter mentor for other engineers, offering technical direction and fostering knowledge sharing.
  • Lead or facilitate project teams, ensuring project goals are met on schedule and within budget.

Collaboration & Coordination

  • Coordinate with manufacturers, internal stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to validate engineering methods against material specifications and corporate standards.
  • Partner with maintenance, operations, and safety divisions to address complex technical issues that affect aircraft availability.
  • Develop and implement revised processes and unique procedures for repairs, modifications, inspections, and other support activities not covered by existing manuals.

Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze aircraft/component failures that could lead to delays, increased labor, or material waste, and recommend effective corrective actions.
  • Provide engineering support for non‑routine situations, restoring aircraft or component status to operational readiness.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of current and upcoming regulations, ensuring all engineering activities remain compliant.
  • Utilize available resources to build technical expertise and practical experience, while continuously improving communication and interpersonal skills.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of engineering experience in a related field, or 2 years of relevant experience without a degree.
  • Licenses/Certifications: A&P (Airframe & Powerplant) license is required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to interpret technical data to make data‑driven decisions.
  • Core Competencies: Strong analytical abilities, excellent written and verbal communication, and a demonstrated capacity to take on new responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering.
  • Experience with aircraft design software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, or Siemens NX).
  • Familiarity with FAA/EASA regulations and industry standards such as AS9100.
  • Previous remote work experience with proven self‑management and time‑management skills.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
